Three passes, one ledger.
01 / Chain
Read the history
Helius returns every movement this wallet made inside the period you pick, including the fees.
02 / Jev
Resolve the activity
Jev labels each token movement and marks the ones whose evidence is too thin to price.
03 / Gain and loss
Match and value
Sales are matched to purchases first in first out, then valued in USD for a Form 8949 export.
Three questions.
Nothing else.
Jev is a typed decision model. For every token movement it returns a label and a probability, and that is all it returns. Amounts, cost basis and every number in the report are computed from the transaction itself.
JevTax computes gain and loss. It does not decide what is taxable. Jurisdiction rules, wash sales, other wallets and any purchase made before the period you scan all sit outside what this report can see, so treat it as working numbers to hand to a professional rather than a finished filing.
What the window sees.
Window
30 days to a tax year
Up to 2,000 transactions per scan. Anything beyond that is labeled partial in the report.
Basis
FIFO, priced in USD
Visible purchases set the cost basis. SOL uses its historical price; USDC swap amounts are valued near one dollar.
Limits
What is missing
Purchases before the period, exchange trades, other wallets, wash sale rules and exotic DeFi routes.
